PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Victoria’s professional
career spans twenty-five years of; teaching, counseling, owning, and operating her own businesses.
She studied management specializing
in the hospitality industry however later she chose to take over her parents business in textile manufacturing that she grew
up in. Additional studies in fashion design and knitwear mechanics helped her expand and change the direction of the business. After having spent several successful years in that field, she yearned for more.
Victoria’s
love was people; she was fascinated with what made them tick, so she began to counsel and coach people in their professional
and personal lives. At the same time, she continued with her other love, acting and later teaching for a private academy.
Coming from a business background,
she felt it was more responsible to expand her horizons and began several businesses while putting her true passions of counseling
and acting on the slow burner.
Her business ventures ranged from:
Manufacturing
Retail
Financial services
Conference organization
Hospitality
Film & TV production
She obtained Train the Trainer and
Film and TV production certificates. Promptly began working as a producer, director and editor in a film and television production
company. Victoria went on to develop her own film projects that were purchased
by the AFI and other independent distributors.
The leg of her life’s journey
that was to change her forever was a trip around the world that culminated with her falling in love with New
York. There she furthered her studies with a famous method-acting teacher, simultaneously establishing
a Film and TV production company, producing and hosting her own lifestyle TV talk show, “DIA“.
While the show was in development,
Victoria supplemented her income by coaching, counseling, teaching, acting in
addition to doing the rounds of agents, auditions and performing in the Big Apple.
Victoria’s
experience is vast; she has developed all of her businesses from scratch and sold each for a healthy profit.
She holds Associate Professor positions
in the Finance and Economic departments of St. Johns University
as well as the Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO) school in New York.
She is a member of the American Business Women’s Association, Toastmasters International, Chamber of Commerce, Directors
and Producers Guild; she also holds membership in the American and Australian acting unions, Equity and SAG.
